  • Perform a job analysis and leveling to define comparable work
  • Perform a pay gap analysis and pay equity analysis
  • Provide recommendations for remediation and communications

Consulting Services

With more and more legislation coming down the pipeline every year, Pay Equity is no longer optional. As a neutral third party, we can certify that your organization’s pay practices are internally equitable.
Our compensation experts will audit your pay practices and determine whether or not employees, including those in protected classes, are paid fairly.
We will assess differences in pay and determine if they are justified under the law. If not, we will make recommendations regarding corrective actions you can take. We will work with you to get compliant and certified.
Throughout the entire process, you can minimize your legal exposure through attorney-client privilege. This can be done with your in-house legal team or external counsel, but certain criteria have to be met. We’ll advise you on how to meet those criteria.
There are four steps in the audit and certification process:

Laying the Groundwork

We’ll start by assessing your current situation. This includes a comprehensive audit of existing pay documentation, salary, and demographic data.

Grouping Comparable Jobs

The credibility and validity of statistical modeling will require an understanding of positions that are doing comparable work. We’ll group positions based on levels of responsibility, degree of supervision, complexity, and minimum qualifications.

Pay gap and pay equity analysis

We’ll leverage CompAnalyst®’s Pay Equity Suite to evaluate pay gaps based on gender, race, ethnicity, and age.

We will flag any disparities for further investigation and determine if there are legitimate factors that explain these pay differences. If necessary, we will recommend corrective action.

Model Remediation

Leveraging Salary.com’s proprietary software, we’ll model the budget impact of any pay adjustments. We can model several scenarios, giving you a full understanding of your options.

We’ll also work closely with organizational leaders and legal counsel to develop a communications and implementation plan.
